If you are looking for something to do this weekend, you don't have to travel very far.
Brenham will host the third annual Fine Arts Festival from 9a.m. to 5p.m. Saturday.
The Brenham Fine Arts League puts on the event where you can find paintings, jewelry, photography, sculpture and much more. There will also be live music, and it all takes place in downtown Brenham.
After you check out the artwork in Brenham, you can head a few minutes down the road to enjoy the Scarecrow Festival.
It's the 37th year for the weekend long Chappell Hill event.
The festival brings in more than 300 exhibitors showing off goods like home decor, holiday items, clothing and much more. There are also activities for the kids, plus a wide variety of country-style food.
Admission to the festival is free and parking is $5.
Festival hours are 10:00a.m.-6:00p.m. Saturday and 12-5p.m. Sunday.
