If you don't want to drive, take a cue from a public power pedal extravaganza this weekend.
The annual B-T-U Power Pedal Trail ride kicked off yesterday with activities running through the weekend. Kids and adults had the chance to participate in a little friendly competition in the Kid's Kup and several mountain bike races.
It was not all fun and games though, the kids learned important safety tips as well, and B-T-U donates the money raised.
"Our charity of choice this year will be Scotty's House, and we'll donate a portion of the proceeds from the event, the mountain bike racing, to Scotty's House in honor of all the little guys out there in the world," Allen Wood said.
The event is part of the national Public Power Week.
