A pair of College Station roommates is in trouble with the law after police say they were growing weed at the Woodlands Apartments.
Investigators executed a search warrant Monday at the Woodland's Apartments at the 1700 block of Harvey Mitchell Parkway and found 22 marijuana plants growing in Zachary Palmer and Jacob Navis' apartment, according to police. Authorities say the indoor growing operation had an estimated value of $35,000. Officials say they also seized approximately 49 grams of marijuana.
Palmer and Navis, who are both enrolled at Blinn College in Bryan, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana
Also, six Bryan residents were arrested in another drug bust early Tuesday morning at a home in the 1000 block of Bryant Street, which is in a drug-free zone.
Investigators say they found approximately 231 grams of marijuana, along with paraphernalia related to sales and distribution, about $460 in cash and four grams of a dangerous drug.
Derrick Brooks, 30, was charged with possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone and possession of a dangerous drug.
Shannon Thomas, 26, Joshua Baker, 18, and Jordan Harvell, 17, were charged with possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone.
