NEW YORK (AP) - Stocks are finishing the day lower, with the Dow
losing about 200 points.

The Dow earlier came back from triple-digit losses a couple of
times.

The Federal Reserve today announced another effort to get credit
flowing again. It will provide up to $540 billion to finance the purchases of assets from money market mutual funds. JPMorgan Chase has been chosen to run five special funds that will buy certificates of deposit, bank notes and commercial paper from money market mutual funds.

The Treasury Department has selected two major accounting firms
to help it manage the $700 billion financial rescue program.

PricewaterhouseCoopers will be the auditor for the program, while
Ernst & Young will provide general accounting support.
