Chimney Hill Entrepreneurs Question Future

The day after the City of College Station approved a nearly $10 million purchase of the Chimney Hill Shopping Center, some businesses currently leasing out space in that shopping center are left with more questions than answers.

Several business owners and managers tell News Three they found out the news through different media outlets, and didn't receive any heads up prior to last night's decision. One business owner adds she is not sure what the new ownership will mean for her business.

The City of College Station plans to use the land to eventually become a hotel and convention center.

City officials say they will assume all current leases and do plan to honor them.
