Bryan Police Officer, City Head to Arbitration

He has been on suspension for three months, but a veteran Bryan police officer will now have his chance to appeal the department's decision.

Sergeant Steve French's arbitration hearing will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bryan City Hall.

French was removed from duty in August for what the Bryan Police Department says was inappropriate use of force, conduct unbecoming and truthfulness.

He was recently cleared of all criminal wrongdoing.

The arbitration is scheduled to go through Friday, but city officials expect it to end sooner.
