He has been a familiar face on News 3 for over two decades, and he tells us he has loved every minute of it.

However, Department of Public Safety Trooper Eddie Carmon says it is time to retire.

Since 1986, Carmon has served as the safety education and public information officer out of the Bryan office. He has been the person News 3 has turned to for information, from Click It or Ticket to the dangers of drinking and driving.

Carmon says he'll take some time off, but will eventually re-enter the working world.

Carmon has worked for DPS since 1977.
