Veteran's day may be a few days away, but events are already taking place.
A convoy of military equipment from the Museum of the American G-I will travel down Texas Avenue from noon to 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
The equipment will be on display on 26th Street in Bryan.
The Masonic Lodge and Downtown 202 will be converted into veterans museums, displaying historical Brazos Valley military history.
The celebration continues with entertainment from 12:30 to 5 Pp.m. in the Palace Theater Sunday.
A presentation of the colors is scheduled for 1 p.m., followed by performances from Brazos Valley Troupe and Karan Chavis.
Historical Downtown Bryan Veterans Day Weekend Display of military equipment from Museum of the American G.I. College Station Veterans Museum with military/veterans displays from area museums and individuals.
Covering all wars.
Participation will include local historical societies, DAR, DART, Confederates Civil War, WWI&II etc.
Sunday BBQ + entertainment(1-5pm) at Palace Theater.
All monies benefit Museum of the American G.I., College Station, Texas.
Bryan Rotary Club Veterans Parade is at 2:30pm Sunday.
Last year we raised funds for the USO this year were raising funds for the Museum of the American G.I. right here in our own backyard.(www.magicstx.org)
