Students from the Blinn College Dental Hygiene School helped out soldiers on this Veterans Day by putting together care packages for the 4th Infantry Division Platoon serving in Iraq.
29 boxes were packed for 29 soldiers in the division. Everything from food and games to toothbrushes and toothpaste are being sent.
All the items were donated from within the Blinn College System and that means a lot to Blinn student Jamie Gladden.
Jamie's husband serves in the 4th Infantry Division and she knows what getting a gift from home means to the soldiers.
"You know, I know first hand how much they need stuff and how much it means to them to know how much people care. It also boosts their morale, just know that people still care," Jamie Gladden said.
The squad from Fort hood has been serving since March and is expected to be back home this spring.
