A new shortcut through Bryan is opening near the Bryan Post Office.
The newly constructed Nash Street will connect William Joel Bryan Parkway and Villa Maria.
Broadmoor Drive has also been extended north to connect to Nash Street.
On Wednesday, Nash Street will open to traffic, along with a new traffic light at the intersection of William Joel Bryan and Nash Street, and at Villa Maria and Nash Street.
The city will also remove the stop sign on northbound Broadmoor Drive at its intersection with Debbie Drive and Leila Court.
Also, one of the post office driveways has been closed on William Joel Bryan, and a new driveway can be accessed off Nash Street.
The $1.5 million dollar project is part of the city's Capital Improvement Program.
