Six Children Get Forever Families

Half a dozen children in Brazos County now have a permanent place to call home.

Adoptions were finalized Friday for six children as part of Brazos County Adoption Day. Among those adopted were two 16-year-olds who have been in state custody.

Formal ceremonies took place at the Brazos County Courthouse in Bryan, followed by a reception and press conference.

Each family received a goodie bag which included toys and stuffed animals.

Donors helped make the day possible by contributing the funds necessary for the adoptions.

There are still 6,300 children in Texas still awaiting adoption, 49 here in the Brazos Valley.
