An 18-wheeler accident near Franklin has landed the driver in the hospital.
It happened around 6p.m. Monday on Highway 79.
Officials say the 18-wheeler was headed south, when another vehicle bumped it from behind. That caused the semi to jack-knife.
The 18-wheeler was carrying salt water, which spilled on the roadway. Traffic was slowed for a bit, while crews cleaned the road.
The driver of the semi was taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan for treatment.
