Hearne's Fire Chief Released From Hospital

Hearne's Fire Chief is at home recovering from a heart attack he suffered while battling a nightclub blaze.

Chief Marcus Hilton was released from the hospital Monday, but he won't return to work for at least six weeks, according to his wife.

Hilton was fighting a fire at Gem's Gentlemen's Club in Robertson County last Thursday, when he was overcome by smoke. Doctors believe that's what triggered a heart attack.

Investigators still haven't determined a cause of the fire. The case has been turned to the state's fire marshal's office, according to Robertson County investigators.
