BPD Sergeant's Arbitration Set to Resume

A Bryan Police officer will continue to fight for his job and reputation Monday.

Nearly a month since the last testimony was given, the arbitration hearings for Sergeant Steve French will continue.

French was suspended by BPD over an incident in June involving the arrest of Jonathan Moore, accused of sexual assault of child. The city believes French used excessive force on the suspect, and was not truthful about the incident.

The sergeant denies any wrongdoing.

The French hearings were delayed because the arbitrator had other cases on his docket.
