A Bryan woman will spend the next 10 years in prison for using cocaine and PCP while pregnant.
Arlendra Williams, 28, pleaded guilty Monday to Possession of a Controlled Substance.
According to the Brazos County District Attorney's Office, the offense, normally a state jail felony, was upgraded to an aggravated 3rd degree felony because drugs are an alleged deadly weapon when taken while pregnant.
According to court documents, Williams' use of illegal drugs during her pregnancy, caused her child to be born deceased, after only 33 weeks.
Williams will not be eligible for parole until she has served half of her sentence.
