The city of College Station is hoping to tap into the Hollywood revenue stream.

The City Council has taken its first big step in becoming a certified "Film-Friendly Community."

This means it helps the Texas Film Commission better showcase our area when prospective filming scouts and producers are looking for a place to shoot.

If you need an example of what kind of money Hollywood shoots can bring then consider this... commercial filming in the state of Texas has brought in about 2 billion dollars over the last decade.
