Thanksgiving turned to tragedy for the family of a Robertson County man following a heart-breaking discovery.
Curtis Edwards, 81, was disabled and lived alone off Pin Oak Road just outside of Franklin. When a relative went to check on him Thursday afternoon, Edward's body was found inside his burned out home.
The victim was last seen alive Wednesday evening when family members dropped by with a meal. Authorities believe the fire started overnight and Edwards couldn't make it out.
Investigators from the State Fire Marshal's Office will begin their inquiry Friday.
