Bryan police have identified three people they believe are involved in a scam targeting local residents.

Police say Shane Cave Young, Jennie Alice Strobel and Stacy Rene Dawson are trying to con residents out of money.

You may have seen an email about this scam circulating the internet.

It works like this, a woman knocks on your door and says her daughter has a medical emergency at a Houston hospital.
She asks you for $40 for gas and say's she'll pay you back, then leaves.

Police say never open your door to someone you don't know, and install a peep hole so that you can see who is outside your home.

If you are approached by someone you believe is involved in this scam contact Bryan Police at 361-3888.
