Wintry weather was a factor of an accident that killed an 18-year-old man from Dallas.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety, Kristopher Bookman died Wednesday at the scene.

Troopers tell News 3 Bookman was driving too fast for the road conditions and swerved into a north bound lane on Highway 6 in South Brazos County.

Four other people suffered minor injuries.

TxDOT has also deiced the bridge on SH 6 over FM 159.
Crews are out throughout the Bryan District checking bridges and overpasses.
