On Friday, Bryan Police were staking out a spot in Bryan, because they believed drugs were being sold there. According to officers, it was during that surveillance that police were led to the drug dealer's supplier.

42-year-old Gary Lee Harrison, of Caldwell, was arrested Friday. Police said they saw him selling drugs on the 500 block of East 21st street, in Bryan, and that when Harrison ran out of drugs, he met a supplier.

Officers said Harrison bought cocaine from 31-year-old Donal Monta Amerson, of Bryan. BPD believes Amerson is a cocaine supplier to mid-level cocaine dealers.

Police say they found about $8,000 worth of cash on Amerson. He was charged with manufacturing, delivering, and possessing a controlled substance. Amerson is out of the Brazos County Jail on a $40,000 bond.

According to police reports, when an officer stopped the vehicle Harrison was riding in, Harrison told a child in the vehicle to put the cocaine in his pocket. Officers said the boy had 55 grams of powder cocaine in his pants.

As of 9:30 Friday, Harrison was still in jail on a $28,000 bond. The driver of Harrison's vehicle, Courtney Collins, was also arrested for possessing drug paraphernalia.
