Smoking Changes in College Station?

Monday night in College Station, there will be a public meeting on a proposed smoking ordinance.

You may recall back in November a concerned group of citizens made its voice heard calling for more strict regulations on smoking in public places. This came after a city council request for a more comprehensive law.

Among the proposed changes is removing the smoking exemptions for bars, restaurants during late hours, and workplaces. The proposal would not allow smoking within 20 feet of entry ways, but would allow for it in outdoor areas and on patios.

If you'd like to make your voice heard, head over to City Hall Monday at 6 p.m.
