As temperatures drop overnight, crews are preparing for treacherous road conditions.
Trucks from the Texas Department of Transportation's maintenance office in Brazos County are ready to move out if bridges and overpasses freeze.
TxDot crews are on standby and will be monitoring the situation throughout the night.
If need be, they'll put sand or de-icing stones on the roadways, TxDot officials said.
TxDot urges motorists to stay off the roads Monday night.
If you do have to drive, you're advised to get off the accelerator and brake when going over bridges and overpasses, wear your seatbelt and allow for plenty of time.
