An admonishment in late 2008 marks the third time the State Commission on Judicial Conduct has reprimanded Justice of the Peace George Boyett.
Boyett is the Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace, in Brazos County.
In December, the state commission found that Boyett violated three parts of the Texas Code of Judicial Conduct when he ordered a Texas A&M student to his courtroom and issued her a ticket from another jurisdiction after he said she ran him off the road.
In 2002, the commission admonished Boyett when he instructed a visiting game warden to be escorted into his courtroom, and insisted on using the term "bird and turtle" when referring to the warden's work, despite the warden telling him it was insulting.
That same year the commission found Boyett's treatment of a funeral home director to be discourteous, after they say he unreasonably and purposefully delayed signing a death certificate.
