Some drugs and an illegal weapon are off the streets of Bryan because a neighborhood got fed up.
Police are crediting improved communication between residents and their Neighborhood Enforcement Team (NET) for shutting down an alleged marijuana operation.
Authorities executed a search warrant Thursday on an apartment unit on Boyett. They recovered 4.73 ounces of marijuana they say was already packaged for sale. Police confiscated a .45 caliber pistol and seized the suspect's 1994 Mercedes Benz.
Ex-con Patrick Brazzell, 33, is charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a felon. He's being held without bail because he was on parole at the time of his arrest.
