Caldwell Police Officers Set to Appeal Reprimands

A full house is expected Tuesday night at the Caldwell city council meeting when the police chief and three officers appeal a written reprimands.

Chief Paul Lilly and officers Cougan Hignight, Robert Sweatt and Tim Berka will state their cases in open session at 6 p.m..

City Administrator Billy Clemons says the four were reprimanded after they responded to a call outside the city's jurisdiction.

He said the officers went to Caldwell High School to investigate a student suspected of drinking during a school dance when after the matter had already been resolved by school authorities.
