Heart disease is the number one killer of women in the U.S.
Go Red For Women is the American Heart Association's nationwide movement that bands women together in the fight against heart disease.
At Tuesday's Go Red Luncheon in College Station, seminars were held on culinary yoga, personal image and strategies to stay fit.
Donna LaGatlin served as the featured keynote speaker.
There are other things you can do to protect yourself from the deadly disease:
- Lifestyle changes will not only make for a healthier heart, but also benefit your overall health.
- Remember to include your doctor -- he or she can be your most valuable resource.
- Make sure to know the right questions to ask.
