Voices for Children, CASA of Brazos Valley, held its College Coaches for Children dinner Tuesday night.
TAMU Head Baseball Coach Rob Childress and TAMU Head Softball Coach Jo Evans discussed their expectations for the 2009 season.
The coaches were there in support of Voices for Children Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Brazos Valley which has been serving the needs of abused and neglected children since 2001. The mission of the CASA program is to advocate for the abused and neglected children to have safe, permanent homes as soon as possible
The critical resource that Voices for Children (VFC) needs is volunteers. CASA volunteers donate their time, energy and emotional support to abused and neglected children while also gathering information, advocating for the child's needs, locating potential relatives or caregivers, and making a recommendation to the court for a safe, permanent home for the child as soon as possible.
