Brenham Spanking Case Turned Over to District Attorney

An investigation into disciplinary action taken at a Brenham elementary school has now been turned over to the Washington County District Attorney's Office.

The parents of a 4-year-old claims their son was spanked too hard last week.

They filed a complaint with Brenham Police.

The Washington County District Attorney says he will review the case and take it to a grand jury later this month.

School officials said they had written and verbal permission to use corporal punishment on the boy.
