The City of Hearne will ask the Texas Attorney General's Office for an opinion regarding News 3's request for dash cam video.

Last week, News 3 filed a Freedom of Information Request, asking for video showing Mayor Milton Johnson's recent run-in with police.

City Attorney Bryan Russ told us he would not be seeking an opinion.

However, officials with the Texas Attorney General's Office say they informed Russ Monday of his obligation under Texas Open Records Law to seek an opinion from the Attorney General.
