A familiar face is returning to Texas A&M for the observance of one of the university's most sacred traditions.
Defense Secretary Robert Gates will be the speaker at Aggie Muster on April 21. The solemn tradition is held the same day each year to honor current and former students who have died in the past year.
Gates served as president of A&M from 2002-2006. He stepped down to accept the nomination of President Bush to Secretary of Defense, a position he still holds under President Obama.
