Infant's Death Prompts Parents to Raise Awareness

Something positive is coming out of the death of a 3-month-boy who died at an in-home day care in Bryan.

The Nathan Michael King SIDS Foundation is now a certified nonprofit organization with the State of Texas.

Autopsy results indicated Nathan suffocated while sleeping on his stomach in November 2008.

His parents, Brad and Laura King now hope to raise awareness about sudden infant death syndrome.

They are developing a website, and say several fundraisers are already in the works.

The King's say the foundation will provide families in need with safe sleep items for newborns, assist in funeral and burial costs for SIDS victims and promote and fund SIDS research.
