NEW CANEY, Texas (AP) - A twin-engine plane has crashed into a
neighborhood in Montgomery County, killing two people on board.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says no one on the ground
was hurt in the crash late Thursday in New Caney, about 30 miles
northeast of Houston.
Justice of the Peace James Metts identified the two who died as 59-year-old Daniel Boyd Williams, and his 58-year-old wife, Rheta Lynn Williams, from Spicewood.
Metts has told The Courier that the plane's right wing was sheared off at impact. The nearby home was not damaged.
The crash occurred near Williams Airfield in southeast Montgomery County about 5:30 p.m.
