The families of two of the victims of a deadly Highway 6 wreck will be back in court next month.

Opening statements will take place March 23 in the retrial of a lawsuit filed by the families of Sarah Nichols and Augustin Hernandez against WW Webber construction company.

Nichols, Augustin, Ed King of College Station and Bryson Thompson of Bryan all died in the multi-vehicle accident on September 15, 2006 in South Brazos County.

The families of all four sued three construction companies in April claiming they were responsible for the tragedy. Although the jury awarded them $3 million in damages, some of the families weren't satisfied that they were justly compensated. They requested, and were granted, a retrial in June.

Since then, the King and Thompson families have settled out of court. As with the first trial, the second trial will be held in Franklin.
