Dedication and courage in the wake of a hurricane earns four Aggies a very special recognition.

Corps of Cadet members Jordan Reid, Syed Hussain and Matthew May along with Student Body President Mark Gold were honored Monday night during halftime of the Texas A&M - UT basketball game. The four were commended for their leadership and personal involvement during Hurricane Ike evacuation efforts on campus last September.

As an added bonus, the Corps of Cadets as a whole was recognized for its volunteerism during Ike. U.S. Public Health Service certificates and uniform ribbons were awarded to 600 cadets who helped bring comfort to those displaced by the hurricane.
