In with the new and out with the old. The tower crew KBTX has contracted with to get their full power digital signal up and going had a full day at the transmitter and tower site in Carlos Monday.
Monday morning the crew took down the old analog antenna and by Monday afternoon the tower climbers had the new digital antenna in place at the tip top of the tower. Understand, this is no easy task as the top of the tower stands at about 1600 feet.
The next step is to connect the antenna with the transmitter and then run some tests on the full power digital transmitter. That should come in the next couple of days. We'll keep you posted.
