The transportation fee in Bryan won't be going up after all, at least not for now.
The city council voted Tuesday night to table the proposal calling for across-the-board hikes for both residential and business customers.
The council decided instead to revisit the item during the regular budget cycle which will get underway in a few months.
The transportation fund is used to pay for street repairs. Since 1998, its paid for construction on close to half the city's existing roadways.
