A Richardson man was sentenced Thursday to four years in prison for trying to solicit sex from a 13-year-old over the Internet.
Greg Simpson, 28, pled guilty to two counts of online solicitation of a minor.
Simpson was caught in a May 2008 sting operation after he sent sexually explicit messages over the Internet to a College Station police officer who was posing as a teenager, police documents stated.
He then set up a meeting with the undercover officer in College Station, but Simpson never showed up. He was arrested in Dallas after a warrant was issued for his arrest out of Brazos County.
Simpson has similar charges pending in Tarrant and Dallas counties.
