Sheriff's deputies said a Leon County man was recovering Saturday, after being shot by his father.
The Leon County Sheriff's Office is not releasing names, but said officers were called to a rural home off of FM 1119 in the Leona/ Two Mile area, about 7p.m. Friday night.
Deputies found a 43 year-old black male shot in the back.
He was taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center, and is in stable condition.
Family members told deputies the victim fired a pistol at his younger brother, and when he refused to stop, the victim's father shot him in the back with a shot gun.
Officers said alcohol was involved.
No one has been arrested, deputies said charges will be up to the Leon County District Attorney's office.
