Carrying a concealed weapon on a college campus is against the law. But that won't stop a student vote on the issue at the Blinn Bryan campus.

By a single vote margin, the Blinn Student Government Association Tuesday authorized a referendum on the state concealed carry law prohibiting weapons on campus. The vote will take place during the regular student government elections on April 23 and 24.

There are currently bills in both the Texas House and Senate to extend the state's concealed carry law to all college campuses.
