Less than a month after a Cockfighting operation was busted in Bedias, authorities have shut down another area operation.

Over the weekend, 47 roosters were seized from a ring just off of
FM 3403 in North East Lee County. Investigators also found 36 dead roosters on the property.

No arrests were made, because authorities say when officers arrived--the suspects fled.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Rangers are investigating.
