A grand opening for a Bryan grocery store that is taking a fresh approach.
Village Foods opened its doors Wednesday on the corner of Briarcrest and 29th.
It's in the same building that once housed the Appletree Market Grocery Store.
Village Foods offers more natural and organic food options.
However, its owner says when you step in, the store should still feel like the supermarket you are used to.
"What we are trying to do with Village Foods is to give people an opportunity to purchase the normal items that you have always purchased in this store, but we want to make sure that those items are still here and you walk out feeling that this is your store," Jim Lewis, owner of Village Foods said.
The grocery store will also carry local products, like bread from Blue Baker, Truman Chocolates, and food from Christopher's World Grille.
