At least 10 Bryan churches have been burglarized in the past month, with the latest two hit early Monday morning.
Police say someone threw a fire extinguisher through a stain glass window at the Mount Nebo Church in the 3600 block of Plainsman Lane.
They also damaged a door frame while trying to break in.
Nothing was taken from the church because the thieves couldn't get inside, police said.
However, they did cause more than $1,500 in damage.
Police say St. Joseph Catholic School was broken into around 7:21 a.m. Monday.
The suspect smashed a window to get inside, but was quickly spotted. Police say the suspect was chased off the property, before anything was stolen.
And on Friday, March 13, police say a man smashed two stain glass windows at St. Andrews Episcopal Church on 26th street.
Nothing was taken, but the windows are valued at $100,000. Police say a suspect is in custody, but on unrelated charges. A name is not being released.
No other arrests have been made in the remaining nine break-ins.
Authorities ask that if anyone sees anything suspicious at a church, especially in the early morning hours, call Bryan police at 979-361-3888.
