UPDATE: Freebirds World Burrito in the 700 block of Earl Rudder Freeway remained closed Thursday after health inspectors said the restuarant's hot water was still not working.
Afollow-up inspection will be conducted Friday, and Freebirds can pay a $500 dollar fee and reopen if the problem is fixed.
Freebirds was shut down Wednesday afternoon by the Brazos County Health Department.
Inspectors were there for a routine inspection, when they discovered the restaurant had no hot water, according to inspection reports.
Not having hot water is considered a factor affecting public health because restaurant employees can't properly wash their hands or wash dishes, inspectors said.
