Mexia Man Critical Following Foggy Highway 6 Accident

No citations have been issued yet in a foggy pileup in Robertson County that sent nine people to the hospital.

Troopers from several DPS offices are still sorting through reports from Tuesday's mess that involved 20 cars and 40 people.

The passenger of a pickup truck that slammed into an 18-wheeler is in critical condition at Scott and White in Temple.

Ronald Lee Griffin, 36, of Mexia suffered a ruptured aorta and is said to be improving, according to officials.

Eight other people were treated for minor injuries.

The chain-reaction wreck shut down Highway 6 south of Hearne for about six hours.
