It's not just restaurants that get shut down by the Brazos County Health Department -- sometimes school kitchens get in trouble too.
According to health department officials, Harmony Science Academy in Bryan was preparing food without a permit and was fined $500 Thursday.
Health inspectors said the charter school, which is located in the 2000 block of South Texas Avenue, didn't have a hand sink for washing hands or dishes.
In the past, Harmony had its meals catered, however, the health department received a complaint that the school began preparing its own food.
Coincidently, the school was working with the health department to get a permit, and was scheduled for a Monday inspection.
Officials at Harmony Science Academy couldn't be reached for comment.
