News 3's Rodney Harris and Shane McAuliffe are going behind bars to help Jerry's Kids© and MDA on Wednesday, April 15th. To be released on good behavior, they have to raise bail and they need your help!
All you have to do is make a secure, online donation before April 15th. Your donation will help families living in our community with neuromuscular diseases and help guarantee Rodney and Shane an early release!
The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is a voluntary health agency -- a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans.
MDA combats neuromuscular diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive medical and community services, and far-reaching professional and public health education.
Since its earliest days it has been energized by its number-one volunteer and national chairman, entertainer Jerry Lewis.
The Association's programs are funded almost entirely by individual private contributors. MDA seeks no government grants, United Way funding or fees from those it serves.
KBTX Media also participates in the annual Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon -- a 21½-hour, star-studded variety show that simultaneously entertains, informs and raises funds for the service and research programs of the MDA.
