A Conroe man lost his life Saturday when he went for a swim at the Huntsville State Park.

25-year-old Gracielle Izquierdo-Lopez drowned in Lake Raven in Huntsville at 1:48 p.m.

Izquierdo-Lopez was swimming with two females out to a floating platform in the swimming area. When the two looked back, they did not see him.

Texas Parks and Wildlife were able to retrieve the Hispanic male's body near the floating platform.

Walker County Sheriff's Office, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Walker County EMS and Texas Department of Public Safety were all dispatched to the scene.

The case is still under investigation, however, no foul play is suspected.
