A standoff at Willowick Apartments in College Station ended peacefully just before 10 a.m. Monday.

Dexter Neil Amos, 35, has been arrested and is being questioned by authorities. Police say the person who called 911 said Amos pulled out a gun after an argument between Amos and a family living at the complex escalated.

However, authorities say no weapon has been found at the scene.

Amos was arrested for outstanding warrants for traffic violations in Bryan and for a misdemeanor family violence charge.

A SWAT team from College Station Police was called to the complex to negotiate with Amos.

During the incident, Willowick residents were asked to stay indoors. The apartments are located near Southwest Parkway and Wellborn Road in College Station.

Southwest Parkway was closed during the disturbance, but has now reopened.
