As our temperatures soar , air conditioning use increases, which increases the demand for electricity. The last few days have seen record electric usage.
According to College Station Utilities,
Electricity customers used over 20 million kilowatt hours during the week of June 17 to the 23rd.
That's up nine-percent from last year's 18-point-6 million Kilowatt-hours used.
And much more electricity is being used in Bryan.
Last year during the same week, 30-million kilowatt-hours were used....
But this year that number also grew 9-percent to 32-point-7 million kilowatt-hours.
