Volunteers from the Brazos County Citizen Sheriff Academy Alumni Association were out braving the heat Saturday... All to raise some money.
The money raised from selling raffle tickets goes to help the citizens of Brazos County benefit from underfunded programs the Sheriff's office would like to operate.
About four years ago, the Alumni Association raised funds and bought the Sheriff's office a new computer to interface with DPS to better track the sex offenders in Brazos county.
Prizes in the raffle include a 32-inch television, a man's watch, and cash money.
Winners of the raffle will be announced at an open house and fund raiser for the Brazos County Citizen Sheriff Academy Sheriff's on July 11th.
